The Mount Vernon Housing Authority has 57 units, which are full a majority of the time. Income limits are shown under the Eligibility tab. There is an application process to be added to the waiting list to secure housing. Documents needed for All persons in the household to begin the application screening include: Birth Certifications, Social Security Cards, Driver’s License or other legal identification card, Proof of Income, Personal References and Past Landlord References. Once on the waiting list, it takes from six months to several years to be housed.
